MEET US
Angie Jacques
Owner/Founder/Instructor
I hold a BA in Psychology and studio arts, AFAA & Barre Intensity certified and a Reiki 2 practitioner. My heart and training lies deeply in Kripalu yoga but I hold certifications in both Yin and Restorative styles as well. I knew in elementary school I would be a social worker so… social services is where I spent 17 years happily working with adolescents and families reuniting and fostering an environment for personal, healthy growth. In 2005 I completed rigorous coursework in anatomy and physiology, breathing techniques, meditation, alignment, history and ethics of yoga. Since becoming certified I have attended and taught dozens of workshops in related topics around New England. In 2018 I brought free outdoor yoga to Willimantic in support of the local food pantry and later that year established YOGA on NORTH! Like many businesses, YOga on NOrth took a hit in 2020 but through perseverance, creativity and the dedication of the community not only did we survive, we thrived. April 2021 I moved the studio to our forever home at 59 Church street and rebranded to YONO.
I believe Yoga should be affordable, accessible and approachable for all and at YONO it is. My style of teaching deeply honors the roots of yoga and how we can bring yoga from our mat into our world following the 8 limb path but also incorporates humor and a lightness making students feel comfortable and sparks their curiosity to dig deeper and go well beyond the physical practice.
Outside of YONO I am the Yoga teacher for many of the UCONN sports teams and partner with/consult for agencies to support the well being needs of their diverse populations. I am a mountain biker, cat mom, traveler & food lover!
My mission is to inspire and motivate students to take an active role in their physical and mental well-being through the practice of yoga, meditation, movement and the healing art of reiki.
I will create and hold a space for you to flourish and shine and be the best version of you.

Shelley O.
Studio Manager/Training & Event Coordinator
Yoga Instructor, Reiki, Sound healing, Children’s Book Author
I was completely blown away and transformed after attending my first Buti™ Yoga class. I knew this was something I was meant to share, so naturally I completed my Buti™ and Hot Buti™ certification.
I hold a BS in Medical Technology from Florida Atlantic University. Being a science major, I must know the hows and the whys, soooo, to deepen my practice, I decided to pursue a 500-hour yoga teacher training.
Teaching Yoga led to additional certifications in Vibrational Sound Healing, Reiki, Group Fitness, and a desire to help people heal.
“Buti” means a cure to something that has been kept hidden. It’s time to release it! My greatest joy comes when I see a new student’s face after class and know they have been changed just as I was on that day so long ago. I love people and want to help them find their inner fire.
Meet me on the mat and find the fire you never knew you had.

Sharon C.
Yoga Instructor
Sharon Coriaty is a registered and certified yoga instructor obtaining her certification from Kripalu Center in Lenox, Ma. She has been teaching and leading workshops in the community for 16 years and enjoys working with students in improving their overall health and well being through the practice of yoga.
Aside from her teaching she enjoys hiking with her dogs, bowling and spending time with her family and friends.

Erin W.
Yoga Instructor
Erin Trudeau (she/her/ella) is an elementary dual language teacher and 250hr yoga/meditation instructor. She enjoys sharing her practice with yogis of all ages and levels in both English and Spanish.
Erin fell in love with HOT yoga back in 2017 while trying to cope with the stress and anxiety of working full time and attending graduate school. She felt drawn to the personal development and community that is fostered by this practice. Since then, yoga and meditation have become deeply intertwined in how she lives her life and approaches her career in education.
Erin is passionate about helping people and making yoga accessible to all humans. She encourages others to use yoga as a tool for mind-body connection, stress-management, and cultivating compassion for the self and for others. In her classes you can expect to be challenged, yet supported, with fun vinyasa flows offering many variations and the space to connect to yourself with a long meditation in savasana at the end. All you need to do is show up and breathe.

Amanda R
Yoga Instructor
Mandee is my nickname, but Amanda works too. I’m a 32-year-old Graphic Designer/Photographer/Yoga Teacher.
Born and raised in Connecticut!! I lived in Los Angeles for 5 years to pursue my creative career then ended up becoming a Certified Yoga Teacher. When I’m not expressing my love for all things art, I teach Power Flow/Fusion/Restorative/Yin Yoga to all levels and ages. I’ve been practicing for the last 9 years and for me, sharing Yoga is my way of giving back to the world. Restoring our bodies and minds to a natural state of consciousness. It has been a mental and physical release for me. My initial reason for practicing was to help heal my Scoliosis and to become more aware of my Hyper Mobility. You can find me photographing live subjects of all kinds, practicing with two blocks always, or making my favorite smoothie bowls.

Anna G
Studio Manager & Communications Director
Yoga, Reiki and Barre Instructor
Yoga is a lifestyle for me. It is medicine for my physical body, my emotional being and my soul. When I practice regularly my life is in balance and when I spend too much time away from the mat I fall out of sync with the world. I love sharing yoga with others and watching as my students become healthier and happier beings.
I am RYT 500 certified and also a Dharma school Level 2 graduate practicing shaman and Reiki Master. I have experience teaching yoga to a variety of communities including: prenatal, baby & me, children, teenagers, first responders, chair yoga, seniors, partner yoga, Stand Up Paddleboard yoga, addiction recovery, mental health and private sessions.
I look forward to meeting you on the mat!

Haley P.
Yoga instructor
For Haley, yoga is about the balance between movement and stillness/awareness. So, my classes frequently combine both the Yin & Yang. Haley’s classes challenge your body awareness, balance and strength. With modifications seamlessly woven throughout, class is accessible and students become more aware of their own body’s alignment. Sprinkles of yogic philosophy in her class gives opportunity for reflection allowing students a chance to bring their yoga practice off the mat and into their lives. Haley enjoys leading Vinyasa, Yin, Yoga Nidra and Restorative based classes. In addition to this, she frequently incorporates sound healing, essential oils and Reiki into the practice, as they are experiences she has found valuable in her personal practice.

Gajinder Kaur
Yoga Instructor
Gajinder Kaur is an enthusiastic teacher, sharing the technology that helped put a smile on her face and in her heart with people all over Long Island and Connecticut for the last 15 years. Mantra and a symphonic gong bring the sound current to the center stage of her classes!
